Along with my wife Gloria Jean, I own and operate one of the worlds premier drum events, the multi nominated Event of the Year, The Cape Breton International Drum Festival.Now in its seventh year, the Cape Breton International Drum Festival is held on the last week-end of April at the Theater of Dreams. The Savoy Theatre in the tiny seaside town of Glace Bay, just 20 minutes out of Sydney, on the picturesque island paradise of Cape Breton, East Coast of Canada.
Some of the world class artists who have performed at the festival include: Denny Seiwell (Paul McCartney & Wings) Ndugu Chancler (Santana, Miles Davis), Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson), Mitch Dorge(Crash Test Dummies), Bill Cobham (Drumming Legend), Alan White (John Lennon, George Harrison, Yes), Hossam Ramzy (Peter Gabriel, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant ,Chick Corea), Bernard Purdie (Aretha Franklin, Steely Dan, James Brown), Lenny Castro (Toto , Rolling Stones, Oasis), Dom Famularo (World Drumming Ambassador) and many, many more of the world’s most influential musicians.
