Now in its seventh year, the Cape Breton International Drum Festival is
held on the last week-end of April at the Theater of Dreams
Playing hard to get has become a popular technique among so-called
"PUAs" (Pick-Up Artists), who define themselves as experts in seduction.
Although PUAs are more or less a fringe group whose techniques and
philosophy are not for everybody, they nonetheless make some very good
points, and playing hard to get is certainly among those. If you wish to
get your ex back, it is something you should pay attention to. In a
nutshell, playing hard to get consists in introducing some
unpredictability and mystery in your behavior. The goal is to become a
more intriguing and exciting person. You are no longer somebody easy to
manipulate, you arouse curiosity and become a challenge to other people.
Of course, this must not be pushed to the point where you become
completely unapproachable. If it starts to be too hard to be with you,
people will just go away. Thus, be measured and seek the right balance.
After a break up, being hard to get also means being different from what
you were before, in order to arouse interest. Your ex should think
he/she has been wrong of going away, and that you are in reality much
more interesting than previously thought. One manner to do this is to
play with dress codes, and improve your visual aspect. You should
embrace a more asserted but also more tasteful look. For females, this
may also come from the use of make-up, if you did not use some before.
For men, you may also try a new perfume, or a few accessories. Even a
small change can make a big difference, because this is the sort of
thing that will be noted immediately. By doing so, you will arouse
curiosity and your ex will wish to know more about your new personality.
Unpredictability is also a very important constituent. Your ex should
never be able to guess what you are going to do or say. If you are too
predictable, you do not supply a sense of mystery and you are not a
challenge either. This is the best way to make your ex drop off any
interest in you, and he/she will not wish to pursue a relationship with
you once more. You must think out of the box and become more active. If
your ex broke up with you, chances are that you were a sort of inactive
and "easy" person. To get your ex back, it is necessary to prove him/her
that you are no more the unexciting person you once were, but rather
someone with hidden resources and active behavior.
It is crucial that you have the right mindset with regard to your ex. In
a way, you must deserve his/her time, and being an exciting and "hard
to get" person is just about this. If you were in your ex's shoes, you
would likely not want to go out and spend time with a tiresome and needy
person. Thus, make yourself a favor and become the person you would
like to date. Try to arouse curiosity, and do not give too much too
quickly to preserve future surprises. For instance, do not try to have
sex at all cost on the first date. Rather, end the date a bit before
what your ex expects. By doing so, you will not look needy, and you will
arouse more desire and excitement.
